New Scarves, Whoop!

I am currently working on 7 new scarf designs and 3 cowl / neckpieces. There will be stripes, spots, twists, bumps, big lovehearts and huge pom poms! I am quite excited to get them finished!

So far so good... and I will have these ready to share in the next few days. In the meantime here are some La La Loop scarves and funky neckwear that are on the site already and perfect for adding some quirky style to your look and keeping out the chills!

Polka Dot Madness!

Yayoi Kusama is one of my big inspirations. As a huge polka dot fan, I love her obsession with the dots and her use of colour and structure.

For anyone unfamiliar with her work, she is a Japanese artist who creates fantastic paintings, sculptures and installations. Check out her website: www.yayoi-kusama.jp It really is amazing!

I am also a big fan of 1960's fashion and art and for me Kusama's work has a strong 60's vibe to it.
Just looking at these images makes me want to knit loads of polka dotted scarves with huge pom poms!
Imagine actually being in these rooms?!?!

So there you go ... some polka dot madness and vibrant colour to brighten the day!

Cosy Nights

2 blogs in a day! But while on the subject of winter and cold weather it would be a good time to share my lovely La La Loop Hotties :)

What is better than snuggling up on the sofa, with a cosy hot water bottle and a cup of tea and biscuit?

I think my hot water bottles are just great! (if I do say so myself!) They are cute, colourful, warm and fuzzy and make perfect presents for Christmas time. And at £30 with free postage and a free 'Heart Brooch' you can't complain! Get over to http://www.la-la-loop.com/ to view the full range.

Winter is coming!

The dark nights are drawing in and there is a chill in the air! So I decided to treat myself to these lovely coats to keep me warm:

This lovely red number is from an Etsy seller called Sweetie Pie and I cannot wait for it to arrive!

This navy military / nautical inspired coat is from a London based label called 'Friday on My Mind' (part of Eucalyptus Clothing) It is adorable! The picture / model does not really do it justice but I love it and will be wearing it with my red shoes and red beret.
While I was at it, I got some cosy sheepskin lined vintage granny boots and a pair of vintage shoes with a cute bow detail:

Lovely!
